Are the quit groups where people hang out? Or is that in intros? I don't have a ton of time to be on the site every day so its hard to know where to be. Doesn't help that I'm about to start pulling my own teeth here.

Derek, everyone hangs out in the Quit Groups. The Quit Groups is where you post your roll every day. Your into is so the rest of the site can get to know you. Many people use their intro as kind of a quit journal, detailing struggles/wins etc...the vets say to do it as it helps when you write things down and also it will be funny to read down the road. Read the Kern's Story every word of it (#5). Make sure you click the CARINGBRIDGE LINK IN THAT STORY AND READ EVERY WORD ON CARINGBRIDGE. If that doesn't motivate you to quit and stay quit I don't know what will.

Drink Lots of water , exercise, read as much as you can on the site.

1. Be sure to visit the WELCOME CENTER for what you need to know.
2. Stop by Introductions and tell us something about yourself.
3. Knowing what to expect is found here and here .
4. Print this Contract to give up... ; put it in your wallet and commit to signing it before you can take another dip.
5. Read about Tom and Jenny Kern , It will be a tough read, but do it. Start from the beginning
6. Unsure how to Post Roll? Click here --> How to post roll.
7. For inspiration stop by Words of Wisdom, HOF Speeches, and the Hall of Legends

I really thought I was gonna cave today. I just couldn't take it anymore, and I almost bummed a pinch off a guy I work with but I thought better of it at the last second. Pretty proud of myself because I would never have said no in the past. The cravings are unbearable and I still feel like a crazy person but if I can make it without bumming dip off the guys I think I can do it.

Nice win Derek! Exchange numbers with your quit brothers/sisters and use them in times of weakness. There is strength and numbers and Lord knows we all need backup sometimes! Quit on buddy!

Nice Derek! Remember it's quit for each day at a time. That feeling of "man how can I keep doing this forever" was the reason I'd always gone back each time I stopped before, but using the sites one day at a time (odaat) method I kept telling myself "just need to finish today" and it works. It works and those days start getting easier as you keep honoring that commitment. Besides, you think you feel crazy without dip? Think about how crazy it is to dip - pay $$ for a round tin filled with a dried plant that's been soaked in a ton of chemicals, put that into my mouth, wait for my teeth to get jacked up and cross my fingers it doesn't make me die from cancer. That's crazy. Proud to be quit with you today.

I didn't come this far to only come this far. I came this far to build the strength to keep going.

Quitting was the toughest thing I have ever done, but it does not SUCK forever.
If you can get through day 1 there is no reason why you can't get through day 2. Build your hate for the poison, and how it is trying to keep you enslaved until you die... Fuck that. You are stronger than a poison weed. Awesome choice to quit :) PM me if you need anything.
I could quit all by myself if I was stranded on an island without any nicotine...

"The poison sucks. I hate it. I hated it this morning, I hated it at noon, I hated it at supper and I hate it tonight. I enjoy hating it so much I'm going to wake up tomorrow and start over hating it. I quit with anyone that wants to hate it with me." srans

Good job Oilderek. Have many quitters digits do you have. I used to text people silly texts when I had a crave. Just getting back their "WTF's" was enough for me to laugh like a kid and get past the crave. I am odd, there is that.
