First Time Quitter - Day 3

I've been dipping for 13 years. Last 10 years, unless I was asleep - I never went more than 15 minutes without a dip in. But, I'm sick of being a slave. I read about the fog prior to quitting and I must say it is as advertised. Hard to hold a thought or to even put a sentence together. My line of work requires me to do a lot of public speaking and thinking on my feat. Hopefully the fog lifts soon or I learn to deal with it.... I felt surprisingly good this morning when I woke up. The fog and the jitters hit me about half an hour after getting ready for work. I think I have dealt with it better today than I did yesterday - Looking for ways to stay busy and keep mind off of it, drink water and eat... Lots of eating... However, I'm encouraged that I have made it almost 72 hours and the nic is totally out of my system. That is a great feeling!

Welcome, and congratulations on making the best decision of your life. If you haven't already get over to the March 2017 group and introduce yourself and post roll. Like you I am just starting out in my quit day 34 today. The fog will lift I promise...My advice for you, read, read, read, read, and read some more. Listen to the advice from the Vets and learn from others every day. Buy in and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish with KTC. We do this ODAAT ( One day at a time) and we do it EDD ( Every Damn Day). Get to it my friend, my number is a PM away if you need support.

Wilson,
Great job posting roll! You are now among the baddest quitters the world has ever known. Guess what? You're done dipping my friend because every day from now on, right after you wake up, you're gonna post your promise to us that you're not going to use nicotine for that day AND you're gonna KEEP that promise because you are a man of your word.
My middle name is Wilson so if you need digits other than from your March group, PM me and I'll lead you down Quit Avenue. QLAMFEDD!

The fog will lift and you will feel better living nicotine free. This is just the start of your quit journey. To stay quit you'll need accountability. We'll help you with that here. B)B

I quit with you today! Strager999 - day 460.
My message in a bottle to FUTURE ME. It happens to also be my Intro here.

^^^ What he said. Be accountable to others in your quit group (HOF) and post roll every damn day. The keys to success.

4 days is awesome. You might say yeah right. But you my friend have been free of the nic bitches grip 96 hours, 1 day at a time. It gets so so much better but it's gonna take awhile. No one can tell you exactly how long but just keed making that promise one day at a time and eventually one morning you will wake up and realize how much better you are and you will be jumping for joy. The feeling is like no other and no one will have to tell you, it will literally slap you in the face. It's gonna suck till it don't! Damn proud to quit with you! Quit on
ROLL TIDE ROLL! God, Family and crappie fishing! I will always be an addict, but hopefully never a slave again!

Looks like you quit on your 45th birthday. That's the best present you can give yourself. My middle name is Wilson and I'm the same age. Quit 1 month after my 45th. Make sure you stay active on the site, not just posting ang ghosting. Get involved with your fellow March quitters because they need your support just like you need theirs! QLAMFEDD

I have wondered why I didn't find this place earlier many times. I have been posting on internet forums for over a decade - but I never considered looking for a "quit dip" forum before I ended up here last year. The reason is that before last year I wasn't really ready to quit. All addicts have their time. Even when we reach that time we still tend to need help.

I quit with you today. Stranger999 - day 461.
