Hello. I've played baseball all my life. Chewed Seeds in High School, but they tore up my teeth and my Dentist told me to stop... so of course, Chew was the next logical step. That was when i was 18 and it's been 11 years. I'm 29 now with a beautiful Wife who loves me, a 2yr old son who makes my life better every single day, and we have another kid on the way (Due in April). Every day I drive an hour to get to work in heavy traffic and and it takes me an hour and a half to get home in that traffic. I was just dipping while in the car for years... but over the last year it's been taking over my work day as well. My wife has a "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy when it comes to tobacco... But i'm tired of dodging around the issue. I am quitting today. Last night was the last dip i'll eve take. I want to be able to kiss my daughter at her wedding without her cringing. I want to live life with my family without wondering when the next time i'll be alone is and i can get a fix. My quit starts today. Thanks for welcoming me, guys.

Get in here and stay involved. Quitting is going to be one of the toughest things you will ever have to do. But, you have to do it. Take it one day at a time. It gets a little better each and every day.

Awesome, you don't need it. But don't do it for anyone else than yourself. It is just going to be you in that car, so have a plan. Gum, mints fruit juice, rawhide whatever it takes. Get in your quit group, get some digits etc. it is going to be rough for the first part but you can do it.

Addiction always told me I would always be an addict. That it would always be so hard not dipping. It would feel terrible my entire life if I Quit. Well, yeah, I may be an addict my whole life and one bad decision could put me back at Day 1. But........ that fucking nicotine is a liar. I don't feel terrible. I feel freaking awesome. Yeah, it sucks to start with. But then it gets better. Little by little. Day by day. It slowly and steadily gets better. Till its freakn awesome. You gotta just make your stand and say never again. Give your promise for the day and make it to the end of the day. That simple. Yeah, life will throw you curves along the way. Part of the healing process. Talk it out with you wife. Ask her forgiveness now for being an ass sometime soon. Gonna happen. This is what I did. I planned a celebration trip for my wife and I to celebrate my HOF, 100 days of Quit. I dipped 35 years. And my being an ass definitely showed. LOL. But we planned a hiking trip, and focused on getting successfully to that trip. It worked. Give this all you got. Get involved with you Quit group. You got this.
