Quit Ninja

I have tried quitting several times before. All cold turkey. All resulted in failure. This time my wife had read on the internet mix snuff with fake snuff. I started six weeks before my quit date of Nov.1. Began with mixing 2/3 can of red seal wintergreen with 1/3 can of smokey mountain wintergreen for 2 weeks. Then 1/2 and 1/2 for 2 weeks. Then 1/3 can of red seal with 2/3 smokey mountain for 1 week. Finally straight smokey mountain for 1 week. Since Nov 1 I have had no dip at all. Day 43 and doing good. Gum, lifesavers and toothpicks. Just a suggestion people. Whatever it takes. rossb1 |

I don't know what happened, but being angry and raging here is ok, but trying to stop on your own isn't. We are here when you are ready to quit. First thing I was told when I came here is to take what you need and leave the rest. Don't let anything or anyone derail your quit. |

Ross this site has a lot of passion, and to some extent some wicked tempers. Why? Because quitters are having a rough go of things, and they are lashing out....looks like it was sent your way. Try not to take it personal, it's not you. No one around you can tell you what day 43 feels like more than someone on day 44, that's what you get from this site every day, and along with that knowledge and support, can come a bit of temper....try again, being on this site has been the difference between quitting and dipping on numerous occasions. |

Hey man. These guys are passionate about quitting. So are the ladies in house. Trust me on this.....tough love is sometimes needed. Come on....let's quit. Nothing is more important than being quit. I've said it before and I'm gonna tell you this too. Quitting sucks. You have to get yourself a bottle of suck it up from the fridge and keep quitting. If you don't like something.....leave it. Otherwise, take every bit of help you can.....going solo didn't work for me. I tried on my own a million times. Stay. Quit. This place works! Ginet - kicking the nic bitches ass with my high heels on every damn day. You in? |

Six weeks ago I made the decision to quit this addiction. At that time I had no idea that this site even existed. Since joining this group, I have had highs and lows. I am amazed at the support that you get from people that have no idea who you are. But they care because everyone here has the same goal. Quitting. Plain and simple. I know that with the help of my family and my KTC family, that I will win this time. |

There you go, ross, come on back. Many have bitched out lately, some choose to get strong.
| Post roll, don't dip. Have to admit, that part was fucking easy this last 123 days. I had no epiphany or grand revelation about quitting, no medical event, no life changes. I knew plenty about nicotine and quitting already before I came here, I knew dipping was the wrong thing and I kept doing it on purpose (for a while I would even say, "Hail, Satan!" when I bought a can - let's be honest about what deliberate evil really is). There was nothing special about 6 Oct 2014, except that I committed to quitting, all the way, in the KTC quit vehicle, with quitters who would never accept the bullshit that I accepted from myself. Like I said, I knew SO MUCH about quitting already; Quitting for me has a lot to do with internal dialogue and narrative. "I" dip - WTF? Cravings - I have none. As a quitter, thoughts about dipping are not my thoughts. When you hear, "Ba dah bop ba bah," is, "I'm lovin' it," your thought? No. Recognizing and reconditioning dipper thoughts is so fucking easy in a place like KTC. Think of the saying, "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks." What source flows into the heart to fill it to abundance? Sense data, interpreted/associated sense data, stories about identity from the internal narrative, entrainment to those like-hearted, and your own speech feeds back. I am quit. I am quit and I quit forever, today, whatever it takes, no excuses ever, with the SHELL and Mayhem. | ||||||

How's that for a bunch of faceless brethren. You basically tell us to go pound sand and the KTC faithful laughs it off, quick to recognize a plea for help, and reels you back in. Dude we have all walked in your shoes at one point, quitting can be a frustrating experience. Kudos for heeding thumble's advice and coming back, and don't worry about screwing up roll. It's a right of passage, 80% of us or more have F'd up roll, the only thing that matters is that you posted.
