Hello people. Never realised this section was here.

I hopped on the internet one day thirteen days into my quit. I had never hears of kill the can or even knew that there are sites like this to break addiction no matter what the addiction was. I was simply craving a dip and googled symptoms looking for how long they last what to expect. That's when I found KTC. In read a page that described what to expect. Pretty much what I expected to read pure hell. That's when I discovered a live chat at this time I had no idea about the forums. I decides I'm going to click on this link and see if anybody is actually active here. I entered said hello said I quit thirteen days ago and said I was craving not even a minute went by before I had more than one response. A man who calls himself Nolaq. Seemed like a good guy to me talked me down. Then asked about the quit groups. I said quit group? What's that? He said well have you even seen the forum? No I said I will check it out later. Never expecting to check it out later to be honest. That's when I found where he was talking about. This guy who I've known for all of 5 maybe 7 minutes has already cared enough about my quit to post for me in a quit group and care about my quit to give me links to everything I needed.

For that I thank you. If not for you I would not have met or even cared enough to meet the people in my quit group. Thank you for welcoming me October 2014 quit group.

Brian,
Welcome to KTC, yes luckily there are many caring people her at KTC. NOLAQ was instrumental in my early days of quit and that has lasted a year now. If I can do thia I am convined that anyone can do this. 13 days is quite an accomplishment, join the groups, read up on the forum and believe in yourself. We are all here for one another.

Congrats on making a great choice, Brian! 13 days is HUGE, but it is nothing compared to what you will do here. The key is posting roll everyday. You've taken the first step, now let us help you with the rest.

Post roll, keep your word, read everything you can here and repeat. It won't be easy...but you shouldn't want easy. It is your life we're saving here. There are no short-cuts and nobody can do this for you. It is just you against the nic bitch...and we've got your back.

When things get rough, and they will get rough, it is up to you to get smart. Pop on here, send an IM or two, read the Tom and Jenny Kern Story, etc. This site is full of folks who know what you're doing and a willing to drop what they're doing the help you out. You got this, brother!

You picked a good time to get active posting, although day one would have been better. 'winker'

Realize that your mind is going to be playing with you, trying to convince you that "you did it", so why not put a pinch in...hell, you just proved you can quit...Don't fall for that addict BS....Get active in your group..establish yourself here. Reach out when you need or just want to.
