Hello Everyone:

I am a newbie. I am 28 and have been chewing for 10 years now. I am tired of being selfish by chewing and decided to quit. 7 days have gone by and today has been the hardest. I imagine it's because I went back to work after having a week off and I can't concentrate. Anyways I am staying strong. Looking for new friends and a support group.

Being quit is like so much better than not being quit.

You're in my gang, welcome. Going back to work was a mind-fuck for me too. I went back on day 4. Day 7 was worse than day 5 or 6. I'm on day 8 now. It gets better. Either way, it sucks, while at the same time it is liberating. Try to enjoy it, as fucked up as that sounds.

Welcome Bro.

a week is freakin huge!!!! for both you guys. Think of it this way, you dipped for 10 years, or 3650 days . You've been quit for 7. Give it time. The days add up and slowly your body and mind will heal. I just spent the weekend in Vegas with two smokers. I didn't even have a crave, at day 7 I would never have imagined that I could have pulled that off. If I can do it so can you, keep it up

"CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it’s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit. After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco."

Concentrate on today. You can do anything for just one day, right ?

Wake up tomorrow and repeat the process. Simple.

Somebody sent me a nasty email thinking I had caved since I have not been on the site much lately. Anyways I just wanted to set the record straight that I have not caved and that I have been dip free for 18 days now.

Use the site as it is ment to be and those nasty emails will be replaced with congratulatory emails. Now Get your ass on over to your group and sigh roll.

Cornerstone of this site is posting roll. Get sloppy with it and you will get called on it.

Accountability is what keeps us weak ass addicts in line... like it or not. Now post up.
