Hey guys, name is Branden IRL, age 28. I have been dipping for two(2) years now (Mostly off an on, I dipped in high school as well, but nothing compared to most people, however I do have a history with esophageal problems, strictures ulcers surgical etc. I don't normally take small pinches when I dip I take large ones, about 4 dips from a whole can, sad isn't it. I have been wanting to quit due to the fact that my esophagus can't handle it.

I know most of my problems start when I enter my car, in the morning, big dip before work, sits in my mouth for 1-2 hours; lunch time till the end of my shift. But right after the end of my shift from 5:30PM till bedtime I don't dip and if I do its rare. My brains schedule seems to have me set on mornings till evenings. I also do notice however when I am around my family, the more mental activity I have with them I never think about dipping nor do I crave. I used to be a heavy smoker, but I made the mistake of quitting smoking by switching to dipping, now I realize quitting dipping is harder than quitting smoking because of the amount of sugar I get from the can.

Unfortunately I still have a can of Skoal Straight in my pocket and I keep telling myself, "I'm quitting after this can", but then nothing happens. I was active in the Gym a while back but and I knew I wasn't allowed to dip in the Gym and that was a work around for me, that and I was taking supplements as well, so I tried tricking my self into thinking that the supplements should not be mixed with nicotine, it worked but that moment I entered my car is when it went downhill.

The power of nicotine is strong and i'm struggling to get around it.

Wake up, pee, post roll, then coffee...ugly, but effective.

Don't think about quitting, do it. Take your shit right now, walk to the toilet and flush everything you have...don't look back.

Go to the Welcome Center and learn how to post roll. We are 100% nicotine free here so get into the January Quit Group and post roll after you've spit that turd out and flushed everything else.

The process is not easy, but it's simple:
1) Make your promise to everyone that you will not use nicotine of any kind today by posting roll.
2) Be a man of honor and keep your word.
3) Come back tomorrow morning and do it all again.

There are thousands of guys who have been where you're heading...we've all done it and you can to. You won't find support anywhere like what you'll find here, but the choice has to be yours. Quit today and we'll all quit with you. You can do this... 'archer'

Yes. It is powerful because nicotine is addictive. This is not an opinion. It is a fact.

Whether nicotine dependency was established and/or maintained by being chewed, smoked, drank, snuffed, sprayed, swallowed, sucked, licked or patched, in the end there is only one way out - no nicotine today.

That is how we do it. We quit one day at a time. How? We post roll.

This is why we post roll. http://forum.killthecan.org/index.php?showtopic=120
