Hey guys, I'm new to this forum so let me intorduce myself. My name is Josh Leighton I'm 19 years old, I live in Schenectady, NY and I'm currently going to college for Biomedical Engineering at Bucknell University down in Pennslyvania. At first I thought dip was the cool thing to do back in 8th grade, first time I tried it I got the greatest buzz of gizzly wintergreen ive ever had. Six years later and a can a day later I don't even feel the "buzz" anymore, I just do it because I "need" to. So far I've tried to quit about 6 or 7 times and I need help. Lately I've been feeling overall unhealthy and like a piece of shit, this is from the dip, but whenever I feel shitty I throw a dip in and it ends up making me feel worse in the first place. I need to stop this nonsense of throwing in dips constantly. Today is the day that I'm trying to quit... forever. No more playing lacrosse and throwin' in diggers, drivin' stick and packin a chew or just dipping around the house. I've spent spent way too much time, thought, money and effort on trying to get my fix. I can't even concentrate in class and feel awake unless I have a lip in or just packed a lip. I need to stop this madness, it has completely taken over my life. My friends, professors and girls dont like this and neither do I anymore. PLEASE help me through this. I dont want to have heart problems, hardened arteries, oral cancer or anything gross that comes along with dipping. I'll take any advice, tips or tricks that anyone has to offer on quitting the can. I have already read through some peoples stories and its just inspired me even more to quit. Thank you guys in advance for trying to help me quit because based on what I've looked through I know that in the future ill be an ex-dipper. -Josh "why did I start dipping in the first place" Leighton

If you're ready to quit then get rid of this tryna shit. We are not going to try to help you to quit. We are either going to get you to quit or not. The last part is mainly up to you. Good for you wanting to take your life back one day at a time though. If you're truly done, go flush all your shit and sign roll for the January group and get ready for an awesome ride on this board.

The term you are looking for is "I quit".
Other variants:
I fucking quit. I quit with the passion of a 1000 burning suns. I will make the nic bitch my puppet. I embrace freedom. I cannot be stopped. I will fight daily to keep my word.
Go to 'Welcome Center'...the warm inviting quite feminine salmon colored link in the upper left.
There you will learn the secrets and inner mysteries of quit. As well as how to post roll.
Welcome.

Here is your first reading assignment. This explains why you dip because you have to, not because you get the buzz.
