Hi guys. I am 22 years old and I have been dipping since I was 17. My last dip was roughly 2-3 weeks ago. I stumbled upon this site yesterday and really thought it was cool. I have been saying that Im going to quit for awhile now and I have decided its time to put up or shut up. Instead of quitting cold turkey, I weened myself off by having a dip here and there for the last three months ,but now I am ready to kill the can so to speak for good. My desire is to be an example of what you can do if you set your mind to it. I see alot of people ruining their lives over nicotine and it sickens me. My cravings have been pretty intense yesterday and right now as I type. My lip feels as though something is missing. I am sure most if not all of you battle this. I am thankful for this site and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

mranderson5656 - welcome to the quit. I can't tell from your post if you just quit because you dipped every now an then. Figure out the last day you dipped, then start counting from there and post that date. If you snuck a dip, even one, then it resets to zero. At this site we don't believe in "one more" or "it's just one" or "I can handle one every now and then". When you are quit, you are done. No more nic.
So if you are quit, post up some more info about yourself, why you started, why you are quitting, what your plan is for triggers. Get connected to the Nov group and exchange phone numbers.

As you've seen, once you post, you give your word - no nic for the day. Post every morning and keep your word. If you need help or have questions, post back here or PM me. Otherwise connect up with Nov.

Welcome to the quit.

Rob

My HOF Speech

Philippians 4:6 - Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
