Ann, You do know you sound just like an addict. (the hiding and covering your internet trails......same behavior) I don't know about you but my hiding my addiction from my wife, damn near destroyed our marriage. Don't shut out the person who can offer you the most support. Your call Ann, I won't judge your decision to stay hidden. It is just from my experience, things don't stay hidden forever and when they finally come out you are totally screwed. We are here for you and and I am glad to see you stopped. Keep at it. |

Ann - I believe it was "for better for worse, in sickness and in health". Smoking/dipping = for worse, joining KTC and quiting = for better. Hidding sucks - if you hide, most likely you will keep one of the habits going (smoking, dipping, patch, ....) Maybe your stronger than the rest of us. Otherwise, tell the hubby, jump his bones, ask for forgiveness, jump his bones, get him a beer ---- he will forgive, forget and be smiling. boom - then you've got your best friend, partner as a supporter. Remember guys are very simple. See something naked, and a beer. Pretty much everything else is just noise. |

Sad but true... Get naked, jump his bones, then tell him. 'crackup' 'crackup' 'crackup' All BS aside you really need to tell him what you are doing. Build as much accountability as you can. The more people who know you are quitting the harder it is for you to let them all down. |

It's not that some people have willpower and some don't... It's that some people are ready to change and others are not. NEVER AGAIN !! "I have been down here before, I know the way out. " There is a huge difference between a commitment of 99% and a commitment of 100% Quit Date: 10-30-2009 : HOF Date: 2-7-2010 : One Year: 10-30-2010 : Two Years: 10-30-2011 : Comma 7-25-2012 : Three Years 10-30-2012 : Four Years 10-30-2013 : Five Years 10-30-2014 : Double Comma 4-21-2015 : Six Years 10-30-2015 : Seven Years 10-30-2016 : Eight Years 10-30-2017 : My HOF Speech | |
