I stumbled upon this site by accident. What a great group. I have been dip free since 06-24-10. My body simply rejected the tobacco. I got a severe sore throat and got worried. I went to the doctors and they said it wasn't anything to worry about. I have chewed about a can or two a week on and off for 11 years. I as going crazy worrying because even though the docs said there was nothing to worry about, my throat still hurt and I got a sore on the top of my mouth. If I would have found this site before all this, I would have worried a lot less. The sore cleared up within a few days and my sore throat ended up lasting over 2 weeks, but is gone. To hell with all that. I am done with tobacco. I really enjoyed chewing and am trying some of the herbal non nicotine chews now. I realized that chewing was a stupid and selfish thing to do. I also found that the only thing that could possibly be worse than thinking you may have cancer is actually having it. I am done with torturing myself and being stupid. I feel like I have kicked it for good and want to have the support needed to do so, but to also offer support wherever I can. I am a team guy. Let's kick some ass!

Everest J - welcome to the site. Do a lot of reading and learning. Find your group and post roll everyday. Most important reach out to people on here if you need help and listen to the vets.

Have a great quit today

My HOF Speech

Philippians 4:6 - Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
