Just want to say it's been a week since I quit smokeless. I'm 29, started Redman at 18, moved to RedSeal wintergreen longcut at 22. I went through half -a- can per day, and I just knew I had to quit for my health.
I'm going through a lot of sugarless gum, and knock on wood, but so far I really had one strong urge for a dip. A friend said to combat urges he would go with a teabag (not that one!). Does anyone have any other remedies? Thanks

Teabagger, follow these Remedies:

Stuff your face with any thing, seeds, herbal chew.... as long as it's not that putrid dip.
Sign roll everyday in the September group.
Read everything on this site. Use it as a tool.
Get to know the other quitters, as we all went through and are going through the same shit.
Rinse and repeat.

Congrats on a week and welcome to the site and your new life!

keep your blood sugar stable and that will help reduce craves, make a plan for when you do get a crave. Go to the September group and introduce yourself and start posting roll, quitting with a bunch of guys and gals going thru the exact symptoms as you is HUGELY HELPFUL.

Anything goes as far as what you put in your mouth, I recommend live goldfish, your elbow, or the corner of your desk, as long as its not nicotine if it helps do it.
I used some of the fake dip above.
