Stop being a gai boi and come quit with us.

All you gotta do is take 25 seconds to post role every morning and thats it. That's the minimum involvement, and guess what it works....you want to get more involved? awesome, even better, text dudes, talk with people on here...but even with the minimum it makes quitting that much easier

So instead of saying to me, "hey man, thats alright, if ya run into a tough time post back" and support someone trying to quit. You will only support if they quit your way.

This always baffles the hell out of me.

Would you walk into someoneís home and proceed to tell them how to run it and belittle their ways yet continue to hang around for some mysterious reason? If itís not your thing... buh-bye.

This is OUR house. Of course weíre going to ask you to play by our rules. Duh. YOU came here... we didnít hunt you down and recruit you.

Our method works. Itís proven to work. That should be abundantly clear. If itís not your gig... buh-bye. Good luck. You donít really get to use this site for your journal without first buying into the privilege of that by buying into our method.

Donít get all butthurt... pull your head out far enough to see that your chance of success by doing it our way is exponentially greater. Community efforts to keep winning over an addiction trump a singular unsupported effort any day.

Shut up, suck it up, and give it a shot.

But if itís really not your gig...
Buh-bye.
Well, itís one louder, isnít it? Itís not ten.

I've been a coach for 17 years and we always tell our players that as long as we are yelling at you it means we care.  Be concerned when people stop yelling and paying attention to you.  Well guess what.......

Crazy that no one quit before this place came along. Bravo! It just tears you up that I dont want to be in your double secret super cool awesome club.

The side by side will be my gift. It will allow me to take the wife and two kids out on the family land in the Hills. And lnowing that my former addiction allowed me to purchase a part of it makes me happy. But since that isnt part of roll it cant possibly help me.

Ever thougjt about the difference between promising people ya dont know and yoir wife? Or your snowmobile riding partner?

A riding partner that is quitting with me.

But but but but roll...

See ya january 1. Unicorn out.

Wow, glad I can be your guys' amusement.

Please reread my previous post, I thought this is a website where I can vent off stresses and so forth of quitting. I did not know that I had to check in every day. Post in this thread over here. Then I can come into this other thread to chat it up.

I am not belittling anything this website or forum stands for. It just isnt my cup of tea.

So instead of saying to me, "hey man, thats alright, if ya run into a tough time post back" and support someone trying to quit. You will only support if they quit your way.

Again, it obviously works for you. Its just not my gig.

I will be just fine. I count the days. Add up the money I havent spent. Look at the Yamaha Wolverine X4 I told the wife I was buying after 2 years off.

I will even check back on January 1st and be 100% honest on how I have done in what will be my 100th day.

Ok Iím afraid youíre gonna be borrowing money for that 4x. Please come back in a year and prove me wrong. If you do you will probably be amongst the other 2% that do it. Impossible no, but much easier with 30,000 plus helping you go through everything they have already experienced. Tough love around here. No popsicles and ring pops, this shits for real. Donít be like me and want till you have some serious issue before you decide to quit, it may be a little late then, so far Iíve been lucky. Oh yeah if you have no health issues itís a helluva lot easier to put that nasty disgusting stinking shit back in your mouth. Put your bigboy britches on, grab your damn sack and quit with me, itís really not that hard. It only took me 38 years to find this place, where I could finally quit. So who you gonna write to when you leave here? Honestly nobody else really gives a shit about listening to you bitch about lack of sleep or not being able to take a shit, my advice take what you need here and leave the rest. We all want you to make it. So damn dude post roll itís not that hard. Bet you could figure it out if it would have been 2 weeks ago and we were giving away a roll of cat shit. Donít leave May be your last chance before that fatal dip. Nope not trying to scare you just telling the truth. Odaat why is that so damn hard
There's absolutely nothing amusing about watching another man succumb to the clutches of an addiction.  What you're laying down is what we refer to as 'addict speak'.  You are making excuses, nothing more.  The sad fact is that only around 40% are successful and that's the ones that see it through here. The odds....and time are against you.

Bottom line, it is incredibly difficult to quit this crap.

Important to note for Screeby that It's not that hard when you have the structure of the forum and a community of people to talk with and text with and support each-other. Anyone can make it 10 days on their own...shit bro anyone can make it 100 days on their own if they really tried, or whatever other number you wanna put out there.

I've done it, but it was always some huge struggle and internal battle in my head 24/7.

The point is you don't have to do it on your own, and using this forum and the community inside it; quitting dip is no longer some huge struggle or battle. You just quit, that's it. Its simple, its easy, there's no struggling or fighting. That's the difference between doing it on your own vs. with a community. It's so simple as a team effort that it's not even a hard endeavor at this point. You just make your promise and don't do it. And that's the end of that.

Doing it on your own is way way harder.

Thats good stuff right there brother!  We should exchange numbers and text and post roll everyday and call each other if things get hard.....oh wait.....we are already doing that!

Come on Skeevy come join us!

Honestly I am not a huge fan of rules and so forth. I really thought it was a place where I could toss stuff out there and not be judged. Converse freely with people that have gone through or going through quitting.

I will just roll out if I am making ya'll this upset.

By the way, day 5, live your best life.

KM

This made me laugh a bit: ďIím not a huge fan of rules and so forthĒ.  Fairly certain I have heard all my kids say this recently.

Screeby, itís not about rules, to me it is about playing the odds.  Do we need a website to quit, not necessarily.  However, of all the nicotine/tobacco addicts out there, how many of them quit vs die via complications due to this drug?  Bottom line, it is incredibly difficult to quit this crap.  What this website does is offer a simple equation with accountability.  Are you a man?  If so, your word is your bond.  Post a daily promise that you will quit for 24hrs, honor your promise, then do it again tomorrow.  That is it!  In this, there is the addition of a brotherhood with fellow quitters who get your issues and offer guidance and the occasional meme.

Bottom line, you can stand firm and remain adamant that this communityís equation is inaccurate or you can conform a bit and begin to post roll.  As we fight this nicotine addiction, why not stack the odds the best we can to defeat it?  Itís really simple and logical, and many here to help ... including me! But whatever floats your boat or helps you find your lost remote.

You are an addict.  If you half ask your quit (like you are doing) it won't work.  Buy in for 100 days, get in a quit group, support others, etc.  If after 100 days you want to step back and just post in your intro more power to you.

At your current involvement I'd be surprised if you make it 10 days.

10 days...

I'd be more impressed if that was posted in a quit group.  You are just window shopping and if you were really hooked window shopping doesn't cut it.  Maybe you are the exception to the rule.  I really don't want to see you fail...Im just trying to give you the best chance of success.  Guys that come in here and only hang out in the intros page don't last long.  Again...maybe you are a unicorn

Try it man, post roll every day, join the group chats, text people from here and talk about what you're going through, etc. In the short time I've been here its helped me and made things so much easier for me rather than dealing with it alone.

I am an addict, with out a doubt 100 percent no denying it.

I just had the wrong idea about this website. Thats fine.

I will make 10 days. I will make 100 days. I know thus because I am not going to ever use nicotine again. 21 years was enough. I have literally eaten over 2 lbs of mints. I am an @sshole to be around. But i havent chewed again.

And I wont.
